Make Washington, D.C., your classroom in this interdisciplinary, issue-oriented program that explores the meaning of the gospel for contemporary American life. Here, theoretical meets practical as you combine your classroom learning with your internship.
  • Washington Journalism Center

The Washington Journalism Center is an advanced, experiential semester on Capitol Hill that will cultivate professional news skills and encourage students to think through the implications of being a Christian in the news media in a city that is home to the powerful and the powerless.
  • Los Angeles Film Studies Center

Located in one of the primary film and television production centers in L.A., the Los Angeles Film Studies Center (LAFSC) integrates a Christian worldview with an introductory exploration of the work and workings of mainstream Hollywood entertainment.

World

  • Immersion Service and Adventure Semester

Based in California’s High Sierra and the cities and mountains of Ecuador this program’s mission is to enhance and expand the Kingdom of God through building relationships in cross cultural settings within the context of adventure-based education. The curriculum uses backpacking, rock climbing, rappelling, mountaineering, cross-country navigation and service learning opportunities to help students develop and gain proficiency in leadership skills, interpersonal communication, cross cultural awareness, as well as spiritual growth.
  • Australia Studies Centre

The Australia Studies Centre (ASC) seeks to prepare students to live the Christian life in a world that is religiously and culturally pluralistic. Students are encouraged to think through their role as kingdom builders in a western world that is increasingly secular, both intellectually and culturally. Students are challenged to grapple with the meaning of being salt and light in the culture-shaping arena of the professional performing artist.
  • China Studies Program

The China Studies program (CSP), an interdisciplinary semester program, enables students to view China from the inside to experience its culture and diversity. Students get to see for themselves the world's next great power and become close friends with Chinese students. The program is hosted by Xiamen University, a national "key university" located by the sea in sub-tropical southeastern China.
  • Latin American Studies Program

The Mission: To cultivate a Christ-centered community of critical-thinking learner-scholars from multiple disciplines that seek to expand global awareness and integrate Kingdom values via experiential learning in the Latin American context, challenging students to respectfully engage the host cultures and strive for academic excellence.
  • Middle East Studies Program

MESP seeks to prepare students to live the Christian life in a world that is religiously and culturally pluralistic. Students experience intense encounters with different world views while the MESP community offers a supportive environment.
  • The Scholars' Semester in Oxford

Read, learn and live in the "City of Dreaming Spires." The Scholars' Semester in Oxford allows students to complete intensive scholarship in this historic seat of learning. Students work with academic tutors to hone skills and delve into the areas that most interest them. In Oxford, participants broaden their thinking by living and learning in this major crossroads of the academic world.
  • Uganda Studies Program

The Uganda Studies Program (USP) seeks to prepare students to live the Christian life in a world that is religiously and culturally pluralistic. The USP introduces students to the dynamic world of the Global South, focused in the vibrant East African nation of Uganda. Christianity here is joyful and growing rapidly, even as it engages Islam and secularization. USP students move through this society first in the classes and dormitories of Uganda Christian University and then as humble learners observing places and people of interest around the country.
