Resources
Library-
With designated group and silent study areas, the Start-Kilgour Memorial Library is a good place for students to do homework or work on research projects. The 90,000-volume library provides access to the Internet and a wealth of online resources, including 12,500 periodicals and nearly 30,000 eBooks. The library's interlibrary loan service gives students and faculty access to additional resources not available locally or online. The university's writing center -- located in the library but supervised by Simpson's English professors and staffed by English majors -- offers assistance to students who need help to improve their writing skills.

Computers-
The Information Services department provides students and staff with local area networking, Internet access, wireless access in the library, student lounge and bookstore, e-mail, online course management and basic computer troubleshooting. The campus has two computer labs for student use. The library and the Biltmore coffee shop have computers available for public use. Simpson University was one of the first universities to equip every classroom on campus with a "technology podium" consisting of a computer, wireless mouse, video projector and network connection. Every student and staff member is provided with a Simpson University e-mail account, and students are able to go online to register for classes, access grades and course curriculum.
Labs-
In Fall 2007, Biology and pre-Nursing students will be working in two new, state-of-the-art labs, located in one of the newest buildings on campus. Biology major and pre-Nursing certificate.
Classrooms-
Classrooms typically can seat 20 to 50 students, with a few that can hold up to 160. Each classroom is set up with computers and projectors.
Health Center-
The Simpson University Health Center is staffed by a registered nurse skilled in illness and injury assessment and care for college students. With the exception of modest fees for immunizations, all other services are free including the dispensing of a wide variety of non-prescription medicines. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; and no appointments are necessary. Visit the official Health Center page.
Counseling Center-
The Simpson Counseling Center provides counseling to help students deal with stress, adjustments to college life, depression, anxiety, disordered eating patterns, sexuality, alcohol or substance abuse, new and old relationship issues, and other psychological, emotional, and spiritual struggles. Appointments may be scheduled with a professional counselor for full-time undergraduates free of charge. Visit the Couseling Center home page.
Human Resources-
Human Resources helps students in their search for on and off-campus employment. Many departments at Simpson, as well as businesses and individuals in the community, hire students during the school year and summer, and are flexible with student schedules. The Human Resources office is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Visit the Human Resources page for additional information.
