Welcome to Simpson University!

Our desire is that your experience at Simpson will prepare you to develop holistically, think critically, lead effectively, and serve globally.

Orientation Weekend is designed to introduce you to Simpson and the Redding community. You will be greeted by a student leader called an FYE (First Year Experience) Leader who is there to make sure your transition to Simpson is as smooth as possible. This leader will help you throughout your first semester. In order to properly adjust to Simpson life, we ask that you attend all orientation activities.

During Orientation Weekend, STUDENTS will have the opportunity to:

• Move into their residence hall room
• Meet their academic advisor and other faculty and staff members
• Meet their FYE group and FYE leader
• Enjoy a western BBQ and square dance
• Develop friendships with other new students
• Complete any necessary placement tests
• Attend a student-led worship service

During Orientation Weekend, PARENTS will have the opportunity to:

• Meet faculty at a reception
• Enjoy breakfast with the president
• Attend a prayer dedication
• Become familiar with campus
• Join the Parent Council
