Congratulations on your acceptance to Simpson University! Now what?
Submit Your Deposit - You will need to submit your $100 deposit online and provide immunization dates fortetanus, MMR1, and MMR2. Submitting these will secure your spot in the dorms and in classes. The deposit is refundable through May 1. Call your admissions counselor with any questions.
Financial Aid - Be sure to check out all the scholarships and financial aid that Simpson (as well as state and federal) offers. If you head over to our Financial Aid section, you'll see that to begin your financial aid process you will need to fill out the FAFSA. If you have your award in hand, call your admissions counselor to discuss your scholarship and loan options.
Registration - Complete your registration forms (personal information including the Residence Hall Questionnaire) and course selection. Registration opens in March and continues through the summer.
Paperwork - Request that the official transcripts from all high schools and colleges you have attended be sent directly to us. Direct mailing from the school to us is essential. Transcripts must bear the official school seal and signature of the appropriate official. (Transcript requests available online). Final high school and college transcripts should be requested at the end of the term.
Your admissions counselor will call regularly to make sure all your questins and concerns are dealt with promptly. You may also call us any time during business hours on our toll-free line - 1-888-9-SIMPSON.
Watch for letters from Simpson staff who want to help you transition to college life. If you are a transfer student, you will also get a preliminary evaluation of your transfer credits after you are accepted.
Orientation- Orientation Weekend is coming quickly! The weekend is required and designed to introduce you to Simpson University and the Redding area. Students, staff and faculty are eagerly awaiting your arrival. Orientation Weekend is August 31 - September 3. Classes begin September 4.
The Edge - If you like outdoor adventure, consider participating in "The Edge" the week before Orientation. Join other students and Simpson staff members for a week of sea kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking and more. It's a great opportunity to connect with other students and challenge yourself before the new chapter of your life at Simpson officially begins.
