Pre-Nursing

Simpson University’s Pre-Nursing Certificate Program can help students move forward toward their goal of becoming a nurse. As a Pre-Nursing student, students will earn the foundational coursework credits and many of the pre-requisites they need for admission to an outside AA (RN) or BS in Nursing Program, including chemistry, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, statistics, nutrition, and psychology.

The program also offers students a Christ-centered worldview that will strengthen their ability to address the moral and ethical challenges of nursing with a faith based perspective. Plus, Simpson features small class and lab sizes, so students can get one-on-one attention from faculty members.

Students can integrate their Pre-Nursing Certificate into a traditional Bachelor of Arts degree program. Once they have earned their degree, they can apply to an accelerated nursing program to earn their B.S. in Nursing in as little as 12 months.
