January 2008
File the 2008-2009 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
February 2008
Submit the 2008-2009 Cal Grant GPA Verification Form (if applicable)
1) In high school? Have your high school verify your Cal Grant GPA.
2) In College? If you have completed fewer than 24 college semester units, 36 quarter units or the equivalent, ask your high school to verify your GPA. If you are currently in college and applying for a new Cal Grant, you need to check with your school to see if they will verify your GPA.
3) Renewing your Cal Grant award? If you already have a Cal Grant or are on Community College Reserve and want to renew your award, you do not need to complete a GPA Verification Form (the college you list and attend will certify your Cal Grant renewal eligibility).
March 2008
Simpson University Priority Awarding begins!
1) March 2 is the final deadline to file the FAFSA and submit the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form.
April 2008
Submit all Verification documents (if applicable)
Summer 2008
Request Loans (if applicable)
As Simpson University receives additional information (such as outside scholarship confirmation or verification is completed) your initial award letter may by adjusted.
