Event/Visit Coordinator

Description:

This position is part of the Enrollment Services department. Primary duties involve the coordination of events and visits, both on and off campus. To ensure consistently high quality execution, detail and organizational skills are important characteristics for this position. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  2. At least 1 year of experience in event coordination (preferred)
  3. Computer experience (word processing and spreadsheets at a minimum) required.
  4. Excellent customer service skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills
  6. Multitasking skills/experience needed.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate all on-campus visitation and special events hosted by the enrollment services department. Coordination of the successful execution of the facilities and related systems (facilities, marketing material, personnel, dining, etc.) portion of on-campus events for both the undergraduate and adult programs. Work closely with all departments involved to ensure that a high quality presentation of the university is provided.
  2. Coordinate on-campus prospective student visits. Create individual schedules for prospective students, including interaction with enrollment services personnel as well as other departments.
  3. Coordinate all aspects of the university’s participation in off-campus college fairs. The successful execution of notification, scheduling, arrangements, and marketing material for the university’s involvement in these events.
  4. Develop and maintain a yearly event calendar/process manual for the enrollment services department, which details the process and implementation for all events.
  5. Track data for all events for evaluation of future participation.
  6. Coordinate department and campus wide communication for all events including planning committee meetings, volunteer participation and mass communication.
  7. Work closely with Marketing/Publications and Enrollment Management to ensure accurate and timely communication to prospective students and current students.
  8. Propose and implement new events.
  9. Demonstrate strong customer service and interpersonal skills in the performance of job duties.
  10. Demonstrate good organizational and communication skills in the performance of job duties.
  11. Support the overflow needs of all other areas of the Enrollment Management department.
  12. Perform all other duties as necessary in relation to this position.
