Description:
The Director of Campus Ministries reports to the Vice President for Student Development and is responsible for overseeing the various campus ministries of the university.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of five years experience in ministry, student programming and/or counseling
- Minimum of five years experience in management or administration of student ministries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, etc.)Committed to the spiritual and personal development of students as a vocational calling with interest and gifts to minister to the emerging generation
- Must demonstrate effective leadership ability, communication skills, willingness to act as a part of a team

- Demonstrate strong customer service and interpersonal skills in the performance of job duties

- Support the overflow needs of other areas of Student Development
- Perform other duties in accordance with this position as deemed necessary by the Vice President for Student Development
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Student Development Leadership Team in implementing the chapel program as directed by the Vice President for Student Development
- Conduct and/or oversee retreats, small groups, discipleship groups, mentoring and other special programs as part of the campus program for spiritual direction
- Provide direction for the special spiritual formation events on campus, including Spiritual Focus Week and World Impact Week
- Supervise and mentor the Campus Ministry Student Leadership Team to develop campus ministries
- Oversee the chapels assigned to the Office of Campus Ministries
- Provide spiritual counseling as needed for students
- Develop personal relationships on campus for the purpose of assisting students in spiritual growth
- Oversee the student worship teams
- Address the campus community in chapel for the purposes of spiritual growth, encouragement and direction
- Monitor and provides insight to the overall spiritual environment on campus
- Supervise the chapel attendance system, including monitoring exemptions
