Residential Student Information
The Residence Hall Check-In Procedure
- Students will receive their room assignment upon check-in at the Welcome Center.
- The Resident Director (RD) and Resident Assistant (RA) will issue a room key and room checklist for the student to fill out.
- Students will list any damage to the room prior to moving in.
- Volunteers will be on hand to assist students and parents in moving boxes.
What to Bring
- Bedding (sheets, pillows, comforter, mattress pad) for regular twin-size beds (unless you have specifically requested an extra-long bed)
- Clothes that fit the dress code regulations
- Room decorations -- pictures, lights (no halogen bulbs), etc.
- Bathroom Accessories
- Shower curtain
- Shower mat
- Laundry hamper
- Phone
- More Packing Suggestions

What Not to Bring
- Microwaves
- Hot plate
- Anything that needs to be hung with a bolt or thick nail
