Orientation Weekend

Parents are encouraged to attend the following events and activities during Orientation Weekend:

FRIDAY

  • Visit the Parent Oasis tent and enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages
  • Get a tour of campus to familiarize yourself with our facilities 
  • Attend the Welcome Chapel as you experience what a typical chapel is like
  • Participate in the Parent Reception to meet the professors and staf who will challenge and support your student

SATURDAY

  • Enjoy breakfast with the President and learn about important campus issues
  • Join with other parents in praying for our students and the Simpson community
  • Say your final goodbyes

CHECKLIST - make sure all this is complete before arrival.

  • Accepted with paid deposit of $100
  • Financial Aid complete
    • Awarded
    • Loan Request complete (Request Loan and Master Promissory note)
      • Stafford
      • Parent PLUS
      • Perkins
    • Finances
      • Turn in registration statement with payment coupon
      • First payment is due August 15th.
    • Registration 
      • Register for classes and complete registration forms

    Leaving your student at college can be a difficult experience for some parents. We understand your desire to know that they will be provided for while here. The following is some information regarding the resources available to your student in the Redding community. We hope this information makes the transition easier.

    We also have a Parent Website where you can view a parent newsletter, send goodies to your loved one from home, and check out your son or daughters student account*
    *Federal laws prohibit the distribution of information related to a student's account unless authorized by the individual student.
