Simpson's Army ROTC Program Holds Contracting Ceremony for Cadets
REDDING, Calif - On Friday, Sept. 19, Simpson University held an Army ROTC Contracting Ceremony for three cadets in the universitie's ROTC program. During its first semester, the Army ROTC program has 10 cadets enrolled in the program.
During the contracting ceremony, Mr. Joshua Corson of San Diego, Ms. Sarah Moores of Sequim, WA, and Mr. Nathan Polk of Orofino, ID recited the enlistment oath as part of their contracting process. The three cadets affirmed their commitment to serve eight years in the Army, four of which are active duty.
The contracting ceremony represents the first step in a cadet’s journey to become an officer, scholar, and leader in the United States Army.
As the first four-year ROTC cadets attending Simpson University, Corson, Moores, and Polk continue a proud military tradition, and also symbolize a new beginning at the Simpson University.
