Orientation

Welcome to Simpson University!

Our desire is that your experience at Simpson will prepare you to develop holistically, think critically, lead effectively, and serve globally.  Achieving competence in those four areas is what defines a successful Simpson graduate.

Orientation Weekend is designed to introduce you to Simpson University and the Redding community! You will be greeted by a student leader who will make sure your transition to Simpson is as smooth as possible.  This leader will assist you throughout the weekend as you move in, meet new students and attend Orientation activities. These students are ready to meet you and are eagerly awaiting your arrival. In order to properly adjust to Simpson Life, We ask that you attend all the Orientation activities during these two days.

During Orientation Weekend, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Move into your Residence Hall room
  • Meet your Academic Advisor and other faculty and staff members
  • Become familiar with campus
  • Learn more about the Redding community
  • Develop friendships with other new students
  • Complete any necessary placement tests and attend a student-led worship service
