Simpson University to Offer Cross Country in the Fall
REDDING, Calif. -- Simpson University announced this week that it will begin a cross-country program in fall 2006.
Men's and women's teams will compete in the California Pacific Conference, and athletes will be eligible to compete at the national level in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), said Athletic Director Mark Pettengill.
The university will hire a head coach in January to begin the recruitment process. Athletic scholarships will be offered
Simpson University, located at 2211 College View Drive in Redding, is a Christian liberal arts university offering undergraduate, graduate and teaching credential programs. Simpson competes in the NAIA Cal Pac Conference in men's and women's soccer, men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball and men's baseball.
