January 18, 2007

REDDING, Calif. - Bill Rancic, season-one winner of Donald Trump's "The Apprentice," will be at the Redding ACE Hardware on Eureka Way from noon to 3 p.m.  Tuesday Jan. 23. The event will include book signings, giveaways, and product demonstrations.

Rancic is the spokesperson for the "Dream ACE" contest in which one winner nationwide will win an ACE Hardware store valued at approximately $1,000,000.

Simpson University business students from Professor Wally Quirk's small business and entrepreneurship class will be at the event to speak with Rancic about being a business owner.

"I think it's important to connect our college students with real life business situations," said Quirk. "The ACE project is a perfect opportunity for Simpson business students to learn from a well-respected entrepreneur like Bill Rancic."

After winning "The Apprentice" in 2004, Rancic has become a best selling author and has appeared as a guest on NBC's "Today Show" and the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

ACE Hardware will be giving away $10 gift cards to the first 200 people who arrive at noon.
