For Immediate Release
February 6, 2007

REDDING, Calif. - Manic Drive, an international touring band, will perform at Simpson University’'s Heritage Student Life Center at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10.

The Canadian natives of Manic Drive include Shawn Cavallo on lead vocals, Michael Cavallo on guitar, Johnny DiMarco on drums, and Phil Massicotte on bass. The band's latest CD release, "Reason for Motion," is their fifth recording. Their hit songs, "Nebulous," "Memories," and "Middle of it All" made the R&R Top 30 Christian Rock chart across North America and landed at No. 4 in the United States. The band, who describes their music as "riff-driven aggressive rhymes with melodic vocals," has shared the stage with Switchfoot, Thousand Foot Krutch and Superchick.

Founding members Shawn and Michael Cavallo found success at an early age, winning talent contests and releasing independent projects.

"We loved music so much when we were little kids, that we just started writing, performing and even recording at the age of 8 and 9 years old," said lead singer Shawn Cavallo.

Tickets cost $5 at the door.
