Financial Aid

Cal Grant - Up to $9,708 (estimated), the largest source of free money for college funded by the State of California, administered by the California Student Aid Commission. Simpson University is a qualifying college in California. Submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and a verified GPA to the California Student Aid Commission no later than March 2, 2008.

Pell Grant - Up to $4,310, the largest source of gift aid from the federal government. When the FAFSA is filed, a student is automatically considered for the grant.

Federal PLUS Loan for Graduates - Amounts vary, and a student is required to request the full amount of Stafford Loans offered prior to requesting PLUS funds. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, have a valid Social Security number, and pass a credit check.

Federal Stafford Loan - The Stafford loans are the largest source of federal aid given to qualified students. There are two types of Stafford loans: subsidized, for which the government pays the interest while students are in school, and unsubsidized, for which students pay all the interest on the loan.
