Men's Basketball Coaching Staff

At 6'7", 258 pounds, Williams was a starting forward for Humboldt State University from 1997 to 1999.  Williams led the 20-10 1998-99 Lumberjacks averaging 17 points and eight rebounds a game and was named Team MVP.  Following his collegiate playing career, Williams spent a season on the bench as an assistant coach at Humboldt.

His honors include the "Stars of the Century" award, an honor bestowed upon the top players in Humboldt State's program since its inception in 1924.  Williams ranked 2nd on the list out of 50 players.

Born in Watts, Williams grew up in Oakland and played at Merritt Junior College before transfering to Humboldt.  Williams has spent parts of the last five years playing in professional leagues throughout the world.  In the spring of 2005, Williams averaged 17 points and nine rebounds a game for the Oakland Slammers of the International Basketball League.  He has put up similar numbers in leagues in Saudi Arabia and Germany.

ASSISTANT COACH: TRAVIS GRANT

Coach Grant played basketball from the moment he could walk.  Despite battling a continual health problems, Grant was able to play four years of high school ball at Whitefish High School in Whitefish, Montana.  He also took part in an NBC Camps tour of England for the summer.

In 2004, Grant spent three weeks in the hospital and finally had to give up his passion of playing basketball.  Travis has found a new way to pursue his passion for basketball, while passing it on to others: coaching.

Coach Grant has spent three years coaching with NBC Camps.
