Women's Basketball Coaching Staff

HEAD COACH: Derrick Pringle, Jr.

Simpson University names Derrick Pringle Jr. as the new Head Women's Basketball Coach for the 2007-2008 season. Derrick spent the past two seasons as Assistant Athletic Director, Athletic Director, Assistant and Head Men's Basketball Coach at Puget Sound Christian College in Everett, WA. During his tenure at Puget Sound Christian College he had four players name to the NCCAA II All-West Region Team.

Pringle played at Simpson during the 2003 season, with the team that won the West Region Championship, finished third in the NCCAA National Tournament, and set a school record of 21 wins. He finished his collegiate career at Puget Sound Christian College, where he ranked third in Puget Sound's history as a all-time player categories; third in scoring, most points made in a game, third in field goal percentage, and third in 3 point percentage. He also led the nation in 2004-2005 in 3 point percentage.After his career ended Derrick was invited to attend a NBDL Tryout/mini camp for the Tulsa 66ers.

Derrick resides in Redding with his lovely wife Nicole and his five year old daughter Ayannah.

ASSISTANT COACH: Kim Aiello

A 2005 graduate of Simpson University, Kim Aiello returns to a program where she was a three year starter and team captain for the Lady Red Hawks. During her three years, Kim averaged 6.5ppg and 3.58 assists.

Kim will bring a great deal of enthusiasm, passion and knowledge to the Lady Red Hawks program this season.
