Men's Soccer Coaching Staff
HEAD COACH: Darby Anderson danderson@simpsonuniversity.edu
Darby grew up playing soccer in the Sacramento area. He played collegiately at Sonoma State University and the University of Maine. He also played semi-professional soccer in the Czech Republic while his wife and he were missionaries. Darby has coached 12 years of high school soccer with a .712 winning percentage, two state finals in Texas and three section finals in California. Darby was part of the coaching staff at Simpson for the 05/06 season as an assistant coach. Darby sums it up with “I am passionate about discipleship and encouraging young men in their pursuit of truth and life”. Darby loves to spend time with his wife Melissa and their two daughters, Triniti (3) and Hope (1). Darby and Melissa lead a life group through The Stirring (church). He also stays involved playing soccer in the local adult leagues.
ASSISTANT COACH: Nate Huntsinger
Nate Huntsinger joins the Red Hawks coaching staff after a successful playing career at Simpson. Huntsinger graduated in April with a Business Administration degree.
Huntsinger was a four-year starter for the Red Hawks. In his junior and senior seasons he was named team captain.
The central defender was named Team MVP after being an anchor on the Red Hawk back line. He was also part of the 2004 squad that qualified for the NCCAA DII National Championships held in Kissimmee, Florida.
