It took two overtimes for the Simpson to pull off the first round win over #6 seed Cal State Maritime (85-79). Senior Alex Nixon had a monster night with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Nixon also held Maritimes top scorer Cody Gatton to 4 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Daniel Eoff contributed with 16 points and 4 steals and junior Glenn Payne followed with 17 points and 8 rebounds.
