Voting narrows selections down to two

After nearly 100 entries, several committees and numerous ballots, Simpson University's search for a new mascot is down to two. 

The new face of Simpson University athletics will be that of the Pumas or the RedHawks.

After four semifinalists were announced Friday morning, ballots were distrubuted and counted quickly before the convocation.

At the end of the University Convovation, Simpson President Dr. James Grant announced the two finalist, which are now open for voting at a penny a vote. 

Proceeds will go to fund the switch and to the athletic department.
