Mascot Search Cut To Four

Two more will be eliminated today

As part of the Celebration Weekend ceremonies, the search for the new mascot of Simpson University has been cut down to four finalist.

On Thursday, ballots of eight possible nicknames were circulated to special populations within the Simpson community.

After tallying the votes, four finalist were named.  In no particular order the reamaining mascots are the Red Hawks, Pumas, Steelheads, and Rapids.

Ballots were handed out at the end of Friday's chapel service and are due to the dining center or bookstore today. 

Two more possible mascots will be eliminated by the voting and announced Friday night at Nite Life, which takes place at 10 p.m. in the Heritage Student Life Center.
