Ladies sweep visiting Mills College

The women's volleyball team picked up its second straight three-game sweep as they defeated visiting Mills College 30-21, 30-18, 30-17 Friday afternoon.

Jamie Heupel (Sr., Manteca) led the way with 14 digs and 10 assists, while Sarah Taylor (Sr., Redding) powered her way to eight kills, nine digs, and eight aces.

In a strong defensive game for the Vanguards, Joanna Larson (So., Anderson) picked up 10 digs, and Kaela Corbet (Fr., Newburg, OR) and Holly Larson (So., Anderson) had eight digs each.

The home match comes after four straight on the road.  Simpson will be back on th road quickly playing at Holy Names on Saturday.  The road trip continues with four more road contests before the NCCAA Regionals in Portland, OR on October 29-30.
