- (9/10/2005)

The powerful attack and blocking of Dominican was too much for Simpson as they fell 13-30, 22-30, 22-30 on the road Saturday night.  The Penguins had 15 team blocks to the Red Hawks one as they swept the match in three games.

Carly Bagshaw (Jr., Red Bluff) led the way for Simpson (3-3, 1-2 Cal Pac) as she knocked down 11 kills and snagged six digs.  Simpson put up a strong defensive effort as Teddy Jo Sturley (Fr., Quincy) had 14 digs and Stacy Viss (Fr., Modesto) picked up 12.  Viss also had six kills for Simpson.

The Red Hawks will look to rebound on Tuesday when they travel to take on rival William Jessup at 7 p.m. in Rocklin.
