Lady Red Hawks Dominate In Win

It took a while for the women's soccer team to get going, but they finished strong in a 2-0 win over visiting Mills College Friday afternoon.

Coming off a rough contest Wednesday night at Oregon Tech, the Lady Red Hawks dominated posession, but could not find the back of the net against Mills. 

After out shooting the Cyclones 11-1 in the first half, Simpson continued to dominate play and finally went ahead with just ten minutes remaining as Hannah Davidson(So, Culver City) blasted a 30-yard shot into the upper-right corner.  Stephanie Gillett (Fr., Lodi) finished the game off just four minutes later as she lofted a high 30-yard volley over a sprawling Mills goalie.

Simpson goalie Amilia Belden(Jr., Volcano) picked up third shutout of the season, making saves on both of Mills only two shots of the match.  The Red Hawks out shot the Cyclones 26-2.
