Sara Fairburn Named Cal Pac Player of the Week
Freshman averages 17.7 points, 8.3 rebounds in three games

Freshman foward Sara Fairburn(6'0", Spokane, WA) was awarded for her outstanding play last week by being named California Pacific Conference Player of the Week.
Fairburn averaged 17.7 points and 8.3 rebounds in three games for the week of December 5th-11th and led Simpson to a perfect 2-0 start to their conference campaign.
In a 60-50 win over William Jessup on Friday, Fairburn scorched the nets, hitting 10-of-15 shots for 24 points. A night later, a 56-26 win over Pacific Union, Fairburn had a solid all-around game as she picked up a double-double, scoring 12 and grabbing 13 rebounds.
Earlier in the week, the freshman came up with a team-high 17 points and six rebounds in a non-conference loss at NAIA DI #22 California Baptist.
For the season Fairburn is averaging 14.2 points and 6.9 rebounds a game. She became the first Simpson basketball player to receive Player of the Week honors so far this year.
Fairburn and the Lady Red Hawks are back in action this weekend as they travel to Bethany University and Menlo College.
