The men's baseball team loss both ends of a double header on Wednesday as the visiting Owls of Oregon Tech won 13-2, 18-1.
In game one, the Red Hawks managed just two hits, both by freshman Lance Stone. Stone doubled in the fifth, stole third and scored on an overthrow.
The other run came as catcher Mike Berry was sacrificed home by second baseman Colby Radke. Jason Mortenson led Oregon Tech going 3-for-5 with a double and four RBIs.
Game two was much of the same as Simpson scored their lone run in the fifth off an RBI single from Jordan Kunde. OIT capitalized on an eight run third inning, which included a three-run blast by Andrew Chapman.
Simpson is back in action Saturday as they host Bethany College at noon.
