- (4/17/2005)

In their final games of the season, the Red Hawks fell twice to visiting Humboldt State University, including a 6-7 extra-inning loss in game one.

After giving up five runs in the first two innings, starting pitcher Kyle Hasler found his rhythm and ended up giving up just two earned runs, nine hits and had three strikeouts over eight innings.

Sophomore catcher blasted a solo home run in the bottome of the first, but Simpson really rallied back with four runs in the third.  Tim Marinello, Cody Brawley, Barry Henderson, and Colby Radke all knocked in runs in the inning.

Tied after seven, Humboldt took advantage of an error, a single, a walk, and scored the eventual winning run on a hit batter.  The Red Hawks went down in order in the bottom of the inning.

In game two, Simpson could never recover after giving up five runs in the first innning.  The Red Hawks rallied in the third for three runs, but fell 4-6.

On the day, Berry finished 3-for-4 with three runs, a walk, two hit-by-pitches, two stolen bases, and two RBIs.  Freshman Lance Stone finished 4-for-9, while Marinello, Henderson, and Radke tallied three hits a piece.
