Rough Weekend for Simpson Men

It turned out to be a rough weekend for the Simpson men as they came up against first Northwest Christian College and then Multnomah Bible College.
The deciding factor of the Northwest game was fouls: the percentages were close for the Red Hawks and the Beacons: Simpson stepped up to the line 15 times and walked away with 66.7%; Northwest shot 41 times, 65.9%, from the line. The foul count says it all: Simpson with 29 fouls and only 17 for Northwest.
Markise Morrison was 3 for 4 from the line, sank four 3-pointers had the team high of 19 total points. Casey Van Dyk, Daniel Eoff, and Josh Sidener each hit for 11 points. The Red Hawks had 17 assists and 36 rebounds, but the 24 turnovers proved too much to overcome and Northwest won 73-87.
Saturday was also a bad day for the Red Hawks: falling to the Multnomah Lions 70-77. Daniel Eoff had the game high of 19 points (4 3-pointers) and pulling down 10 rebounds gave him a double-double. Casey Van Dyk also had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Markise Morrison added in 16 points.
