Baldwin Leads Simpson Past Pioneers

Junior has 12 kills in victory

    The Simpson University women's volleyball team got back on the right track as they swept through the host Pacific Union Pioneers 30-21, 30-21, 30-25 Tuesday night in Angwin.

    Brittany Baldwin (Jr., Palo Cedro) led the way as she ripped 12 kills and hit for an incredible 44%.  It was yet another strong night for setter Kayla Comer (Jr., Red Bluff) as she dished out 28 assists and had eight service aces.  Simpson had a total of 17 aces in the match.

    Stacy Viss (So., Modesto) picked up nine kills and eight digs for Simpson (10-5, 7-4 Cal Pac).

    The Lady Red Hawks travel to Bethany University and Menlo College this weekend.
