Hopkins, Morrison Named Players of the Week
Red Hawks Receive Cal Pac Honor

As announced this afternoon, Simpson University women's basketball player Nikki Hopkins (Fr., 6', Yreka) and men's basketball player Markise Morrison (Jr., 6'3", Vallejo) were named California Pacific Conference Players of the Week for the week of November 6-12th.
A freshman post, Hopkins averaged 12 points a game in two contests at the Walla Walla College Tournament in Washington. On the week, the freshman shot 62% from the field and 88% from the free-throw line.
Morrison was also named to the All Tournament Team at Walla Walla after averaging 19 points a game in a pair of losses. The 6-foot-3 guard shot 43% from the field and a sizzling 50% from 3-point territory.
The men's team travels to take on #4 ranked Oregon Tech, Southern Oregon and Cascade College at the OIT Tournament, while the women are off until the Simpson Thanksgiving Classic November 24-25th.
