A pair of Simpson University basketball players were named California Pacific Conference Players of the Week on Tuesday.

A 6'4" forward, Erick Jamerson (Seaside) had a huge weekend at the Flagship Inn Classic hosted by Southern Oregon.  The junior netted a game-high 25 points to go with four rebounds and two assists against NAIA #4 Oregon Tech.  The night before, Jamerson again led all scorers with 20 points, while ripping down six rebounds.

On the week, the Seaside native shot an outstanding 50% from the field and 92% from the free throw line.

For the Lady Red Hawks, Sophomore Sara Fairburn (F, Spokane, WA) had a consistent week, scoring 15 points and grabbing nine rebounds in each of Simpson's games.  The six-footer shot 48% from the field and was named to the Simpson Thanksgiving All Tournament Team for her efforts.

Both squads travel to Northwest Christian on Friday night.
