Red Hawks Get First Win of Season
Beat Cascade in OIT Tourney

Four players scored double-digit points as the Simpson University men's basketball team beat Cascade College 77-74 in the Oregon Tech Tournament Saturday night.
In their first win in the young season, the Red Hawks caused 21 turnovers and hit nine 3-pointers to outpace the Thunderbirds by three. Reigning Cal Pac Player of the Week Markise Morrison (G, Vallejo) hit 9-of-21 shots as he scored a game-high 22 points to lead Simpson.
Newcomers Daniel Eoff (G, Seaside) and Tramaine Ellison (F, San Jose) had career nights. A 6'1" point guard, Eoff registered his first double-double as he hit a pair of 3-pointers and totaled 10 points, while grabbing 10 rebounds in the win. Ellison, a 6'6" forward hit 7-of-13 from the field for 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds, including five on the offensive glass.
Freshman Jason Washington (G, Antioch) came off the bench to score 13 points for Simpson, while Daniel Bringle (G, McCloud) had his best all-around game of the season with seven points and seven rebounds.
The Red Hawks will get another crack at both Southern Oregon and OIT as they travel to Ashland for the Southern Oregon Tournament the day after Thanksgiving.
