Lang Leads Simpson To Conference-Opening Win

The Simpson University women's basketball team jumped to a nine point halftime lead and never looked back as they opened up their California Pacific Conference campaign with a big 63-46 win on the road.
Kelsey Lang (Jr., Red Bluff) led the way as she shot 50% from the field and netted a team-high 15 points. Lang added four steals and hit 3-of-6 from long range in the win.
Sophomore Latoya Scott (G, Lower Lake) had a solid all-around performance as she scored 12 points, had five steals, and grabbed four rebounds. Freshman point guard Chalynn Passmore (Anderson) hit 4-of-5 from the free-throw line as she scored ten, while Sara Fairburn (So., Spokane, WA) had seven points and eight rebounds.
Simpson looks to move to 2-0 in the Cal Pac as they travel to Bethany University for a 5:30 p.m. match up on Saturday.
