FAQ
Q: Can I work full-time and still attend?
A: YES! The ASPIRE Degree-Completion Program is designed specifically for working adults. The typical ASPIRE student balances school work with work and family responsibilities. Classes are held either in the evenings, one night each week, or on alternating Saturdays (your schedule depends on the major you choose). While you will work hard in the ASPIRE program, you can do it!
Q: When are classes held?
A: All evening classes are held from 6-10 p.m. The night of the week you will attend depends on your major and the semester you started. In most cases, you will stay on the same night of the week throughout the 12 courses in the ASPIRE program (16 months). (Saturday classes are held on alternating Saturdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.)
Q: How many classes do I take at once?
A: ASPIRE students take one class at a time for five weeks. This allows students to focus on one subject, rather than trying to study three different topics simultaneously. Three 5-week courses make up one semester.
Q: When can I start ASPIRE?
A: You can start the ASPIRE program at any of our three semesters: fall (September), spring (January), or summer (May). You should plan to complete the application process at least one month before your desired start date in order to have your acceptance and financial aid finalized before orientation!

Q: How do I Apply?
A: Call 1-888-9-SIMPSON and speak to an admissions counselor. You can complete the application on the Simpson University website. Most students will need to submit an application and application fee, professional reference, purpose statement, and official transcripts from all schools you have attended (transcripts must be received sealed from the school of attendance). Some majors (i.e., Nursing, MIS, Christian Ministry Leadership) may have additional requirements. Call your counselor today!
Q: How do I register for classes?
A: ASPIRE students register for all 12 courses at once, prior to starting the program. Additional paperwork is only needed if a student needs to change his or her registration (i.e., drop a course, withdraw from the program, etc)
Q: How much does it cost?
A: For students starting the ASPIRE program during the 2007-2008 academic year (fall 07, spring 08, summer 08), the total tuition cost for all four semesters is $16,200 ($4,050 per semester).
Q: How long does it take?
A: The ASPIRE program is designed to be completed in 16 months (four consecutive 15-week semesters). Classes continue through the summer.
Q: How do I get my books?
A: Books are usually available for sale in the campus bookstore one week before the start of the next course. The bookstore labels books by the course and cohort. Textbooks will also be listed on the syllabus for each course.
