Simpson University Commencement Activities

Commencement:

Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 10:00am
Commencement will take place at Simpson University outdoors on the Central Campus Field. Graduates must arrive no later than 9:00am to robe in LaBaume-Rudat room 204. Commencement will be approximately one and a half to two hours long.

Commencement Rehearsal:

Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 6:00pm
Commencement Rehearsal will take place in the Heritage Student Life Center and attendance is mandatory for all students planning to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.

Baccalaureate:

Friday, April 27, 2007 at 7:00pm

Parking

Parking is available in any open lot on campus. A shuttle will be transporting people from the parking lots to the Central Campus Field. (Please bear in mind that parking is limited and carpooling is strongly recommended.)

Cap & Gown Information

Caps and Gowns are available for pick up in Simpson Central for Traditional Daytime Undergraduates and Masters students. ASPIRE students can pick up their cap and gown in the ASPIRE office. Graduates may claim these items two weeks prior to the ceremony. If you are unable to pick up your cap and gown, they will be available for you to obtain at Commencement Rehearsal.

Tickets

Each graduate will receive 4 tickets. They will be given to the graduates when they pick up their cap and gown. This April's Commencement is expected to honor a large group of graduates. Thus, if the ceremony is moved indoors, seating will be by ticket only. Note: There will be closed circuit television available in the Emeriti Dining Center for friends and family who do not have tickets yet wish to view the ceremony.

Graduation Announcements & Accessories

Graduation announcements and accessories are available through Jostens. Students may also call Jostens toll-free at 1-800-854-7464. Announcements take 2-3 weeks to be sent, once they are ordered.
