Simpson Gets Mills in 3

Women's Volleyball - Redding,CA (9/8/2007)

The Lady Red Hawks were able to defeat Mills College in three games, with scores of 31-29, 30-22, and 30-15. Senior captain Stacy Viss led the Red Hawks with nine kills, 2 aces, and one block. Brittany Baldwin added eight kills, and Shelby Sweatt contributed with six kills and one block.

Mills sophomore Karen Espinosa was their highlight, getting six kills and one ace. Cristin Allen followed with three kills and four aces.

The win gives the Lady Red Hawks a 1-1 conference record and 2-3 overall. Simpson will face non-conference NCAA II opponent Chico State at 5:00pm Tues, September 11th in the Heritage Center.
